On October 26, 2026, CHINAR Kashmir successfully hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026 at the CHINAR Kashmir Home in Khanpora, Budgam. The hybrid gathering featured our Board of Directors joining in person at the venue, alongside several dedicated members and well-wishers participating online from various locations.
The meeting served as an important platform to reflect on our collective journey, review ongoing initiatives, and outline future steps for community welfare:
- Infrastructure Milestone: We celebrated the successful completion of the brand-new CK office building at Khanpora, which will provide a dedicated operational base to drive our future community initiatives forward.
- New Programme Launch – RAHAT: CK officially highlighted the launch of RAHAT (Rest, Assistance and Hospitality for Attendants in Transit), a crucial relief and rehabilitation initiative aimed at providing affordable meals and accommodation to attendants of patients admitted to the Bone and Joint Hospital, Barzulla.
- Review of Core Programmes:
- CHINAR Home Programme (CHP): Reviewed current student distributions, holistic development activities, and plans to strengthen year-round academic support.
- Remote Child Sponsorship Programme (RCSP): Discussed active beneficiary statistics, recent enrolment examinations, and inspiring long-term impacts, including students pursuing professional degrees like MBBS and engineering.
- SEED Programme: Celebrated a major milestone of training approximately 1,700 girls and women in cutting and tailoring across seven districts since 2015, with many beneficiaries successfully launching home-based boutiques and enterprises.
