Currently there are 31 children (against the total capacity of 36) in our CHINAR Kashmir Home Program
Out of these, three Girls of class 11th have secured more than 80% marks each, in their Board Exams. In fact, one of them Noor Jehan is now preparing for the Medical Entrance Tests next year. Besides that, her Calligraphic skills are impressive
The senior-most CHINAR Kashmir Boy, Arif-ul-Islam who secured 82% of Marks in his 12th Class Board Exams last year; got admission in the J&K Government Engineering College Jammu. He is in the 2nd Semester now and studying hard to become a Computer Engineer. Arif has been a part of the CHINAR Kashmir Home family for the last more than eleven years, ever-since he was a six year old Child
Similarly, one of our senior girls Jabeena Gul, who has also been with us since age five, cleared her Class 12th Board Exams with about 80% this year and is now a proud student for BA Course (of her own volition) in the Degree College closest to her village. She writes Poetry in English and is striving continuously, to improve that capability. Of course CHINAR Kashmir continues supporting her fully
Two more of our boys Imtiyaz and Nazir, who grew-up in the CHINAR Kashmir Home right from their Childhood, are pursuing B.Com course in A.S.College after securing very good First Divisions in their 12th Board Exams. In fact Imtiyaz scored a Distinction in 12th and besides the B.Com course he is preparing for an All India Competition for admission to a BBA course in a very good University. He is also a promising Artist, whose Sketches and Oil Paintings have been purchased by our Patrons during the Annual get-togethers we regularly hold. That was very encouraging for the budding Artist.
