More About DRR

During the devastating floods of September 2014, our organization played a crucial role in relief and rehabilitation efforts. We provided immediate aid to hundreds of affected individuals across Srinagar and surrounding areas and took on extensive rebuilding projects in three regions: Beighpora in Pulwama, Nayi Basti in Anantnag, and Suthra Shahi in Srinagar. Beyond reconstructing homes, we supplied hygiene kits, water filters, sanitation blocks, and medicines and supported several families in rebuilding their livelihoods.

In response to the 2005 earthquake that struck the Uri area of J&K, we conducted significant relief and rehabilitation work. We constructed semi-permanent shelters and sanitation units for residents in two villages in Uri and provided skills training for a group of local women. Additionally, we extended our relief efforts to children affected by an avalanche in Waltengo in 2005.

Through our work, we rehabilitated two villages impacted by the 2005 earthquake in Uri by building shelters, providing water and sanitation, and empowering women through skills training. We also provided assistance to children affected by the avalanche in Waltengo.
