On October 19, 2024, CHINAR Kashmir held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), bringing together board members and the CHINAR Kashmir team to review the organization’s progress over the past year and outline strategies for 2025. This meeting was a significant milestone in CHINAR Kashmir’s ongoing commitment to community development, education, and emergency relief efforts.
Key Highlights from 2024:
The AGM focused on 2024’s achievements, including various education programs(CHINAR Home Program, RCSP and STEP-UP), skill development initiatives (SEED), and continued support for vulnerable communities. The team discussed how these efforts have impacted lives across Kashmir, emphasising capacity-building programs and grassroots initiatives that have empowered local communities.
Warwan Fire Relief:
One of the critical discussions was around the emergency relief efforts for Warwan Fire victims. Following the tragic fire that devastated over 70 homes, CHINAR Kashmir mobilized swiftly to provide shelter, food, and essential supplies to the affected families. The team emphasized the importance of continued support to rebuild the community and thanked donors for their generosity in this time of need.
Looking Ahead to 2025:
Plans for the upcoming year were also laid out, focusing on expanding CHINAR Kashmir’s impact. Key goals include scaling education and livelihood programs, strengthening volunteering capabilities, and fostering partnerships for regional community development.
