Today, Sunday, April 13th, 2025, the CHINAR HOME Campus in Khanpora, Budgam, transformed into a vibrant cricket field as CK Kids (the home team) faced off against CK Friends (the visiting team) in an exciting T10 cricket match. With the scenic mountain ranges providing a breathtaking backdrop to the sunny, pleasant weather, it was a picture-perfect day for cricket!
CK Friends won the toss and elected to bowl first. CK Kids, playing on their home ground, put up a formidable score of 105 runs for the loss of just 4 wickets in their allotted 10 overs. The visiting team, unfortunately, struggled to chase the target and were bowled out for a mere 21 runs, handing CK Kids a resounding victory by 85 runs.
The star of the day was Imtiyaz Mir, whose all-round performance, scoring a crucial 36 runs and taking an impressive 4 wickets, earned him the well-deserved “Man of the Match” award.
The event was a delightful gathering, with enthusiastic support from other kids from CK Home, the directors of CHINAR Kashmir, and friends of the organization. The atmosphere was filled with cheers and encouragement, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship.
The prize distribution ceremony was a special moment, with Mr. Hafiz ullah Amin from ARCO Group and Mr. Mumtaz Peerzada, Secretary of CHINAR Kashmir, presenting certificates to the participants. Mr. Mumtaz Peerzada also shared valuable words of wisdom, inspiring the young cricketers and reinforcing the importance of participation and sportsmanship.
