CHINAR Kashmir, as you must be aware, has a number of programmes for helping the poor and the disadvantaged. One of the programmes of CHINAR Kashmir, “Remote Child Sponsorship Programme (RCSP)” is a suitable vehicle for providing much needed succor to poor families during these difficult days of pandemic and lock down.
As of now, we have 123 children (In 90 families, from all over the valley. A monthly monetary help is provided all children enrolled in this programme for food supplements in addition to other educational expenses.
During the Aug-Sep 2019 lockdown, CHINAR provided help to these families by way of additional monetary help through bank transfer.
CHINAR Kashmir repeated the same model to help these 90 families during this COVID pandemic.
In the beginning of the holy month of Ramazan, CHINAR Kashmir transferred money to these 90 families @ 1000 per family so that they are able to meet their basic needs during the month of Ramazan.
On Eid-ul Fitr we provided the same monetary help to these families of RCSP @ 1000 per month.
