We at CHINAR Kashmir believe in providing enriching experiences for the children under our care. Today, on 18 Nov 2023, we organized an exciting excursion to Dachigham National Park, a day filled with exploration, education, and delightful moments.
The day kicked off with a visit to the national park, where the kids had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. The lush greenery, the vibrant autumn flora, and the serene environment set the perfect stage for a day of discovery.
Inside the park, the children were treated to an insightful documentary about wildlife and the delicate balance between nature and human interactions. This eye-opening experience allowed them to grasp the importance of conservation and the impact of human activities on the environment.
Adding a special touch to the day, we were fortunate to have the presence of Mr Parvez Yusuf, a young wildlife enthusiast and author of the book “Birds of Kashmir.” Parvez volunteered his time to share his knowledge about the diverse bird species in Kashmir, adding an educational dimension to the excursion.
Following the documentary session, a delightful tea party was organized, providing a moment of relaxation among the group. It was heartening to witness the children share their thoughts and experiences amidst the picturesque surroundings of the national park.
The adventure continued with a visit to a Trout Fish farm, where the kids got a firsthand look at fish farming practices. The tour added a layer of education and instilled an appreciation for sustainable agriculture practices.
As the day unfolded, we concluded our excursion with a stopover at the breathtaking Nishat Garden. The tranquillity of the Mughal garden provided a perfect setting for reflection and relaxation.
As we continue our journey at CHINAR Kashmir, we look forward to more such adventures that contribute to the holistic development and well-being of the children in our care.
