A sewing machine distribution event was held today at CHINAR Kashmir Home in Khanpora Budgam to empower underprivileged women and promote self-sufficiency. The event, organized by CHINAR Kashmir in collaboration with Relief and Rehabilitation Asia Incorporation, USA, provided 30 sewing machines to women participating in the SEED (Skills Enhancement and Entrepreneurship Development) program of CHINAR Kashmir.
Over 40 women, including SEED Trainers and trainees from various parts of Kashmir, attended the event, expressing gratitude to CHINAR Kashmir and Relief and Rehabilitation Asia Incorporation for the life-improving initiative.
CHINAR Kashmir’s president, Mr. Nazir Ahmed Qureshi, highlighted the importance of women’s skill development and economic empowerment, while Mr. Rass Masood Shayik, head of Relief and Rehabilitation Asia Incorporation, emphasized the long-lasting impact of providing these sewing machines.
Recipients of the sewing machines expressed joy and gratitude, sharing their plans to start sewing businesses and contribute to their families’ financial stability.
CHINAR Kashmir thanks the donor nonprofit Relief and Rehabilitation Asia Incorporation for donating 30 sewing machines. CHINAR Kashmir plans to organize more such distribution programs in future to reach out to a more significant number of women in need. CHINAR Kashmir believes empowering women can play an integral role in shaping a more inclusive and prosperous society.
